Installation of the CISS unit requires you to remove a small magnetic sensor from the printer which takes only a few minutes. If required the sensor can be replaced at a later time if the CISS unit was removed for any reason. The following images give a brief overview of the installation.

To modify this printer with CISS, we have to remove the cover of the carriage unit to make way for the piping to run smoothly.

To do so, simply insert a test-pen into the gap between the cover and the latch, as shown in the picture.
Pry open the latch wide enough to lift up the cover.
Be careful not to broke the latch although it doesn't seems to have any use after the cover removed.

The removed cover.

Push the carriage unit to the right end to make some room for the cartridges to cross over the printer's housing.

Pull out the carriage unit and install the cartridges.

Plastic plate & clips.

Push the carriage unit back to the right end.
Attach the plastic plate to the piping and secure it with the clip, align the plastic plate to the position as shown in the picture.

Flip over the plastic plate.

Remove the double sided tape's protective film and attach it to the printer's housing, as shown in the picture.

Move the carriage unit all the way to the left then to the right.
Check whether there is sufficient length for the piping.
Make sure the piping is not too loose or too tight when the carriage unit moving to and fro.
Adjust the length if necessary.

After the ideal length of the piping achieved, secure the piping with the clips, as picture shown.

Overall view of the piping.

TX300F with CISS. Completed.

We recommend to do a head cleaning and nozzle check before start using the printer.
To do so, switch on the printer and place a piece of blank A4 paper into the paper feeder.
Press MENU-MAINTENANCE-HEAD CLEANING-NOZZLE CHECK to perform the action.
Compare the printed pattern with figure 4.
-If pattern 'A' is printed, it means the print head is in tip-top condition and your printer is ready to use.
-If pattern 'B' is printed, simply repeat step 2-3 until the ideal pattern achieved.
